projects

i started paprika in 2021 as a page about records i loved. five years later it's 32 people who choose what to cover by taste, not algorithms, and a magazine that grew a festival, a sound installation, a print issue, postcards in bookshops and a map. nobody there gets paid, me included. that's where i learned the main part of the job: getting people to care enough to finish things.
alongside it, three years at a go-to-market studio for startups: websites, telegram bots, campaigns, crm, customer interviews. that's where the structure comes from — scope, timelines, who does what by tuesday.
what i actually do on a project:
- come up with the format, or make someone else's idea concrete
- put the team together and keep it together
- find the money: partners, sponsors, investors, crowdfunding, tickets
- art-direct: how it looks, sounds and gets announced
- ship it, often from another city
not everything worked. a market that made three sales in three months. an evening with zero tickets sold three weeks out. both are on this page, with what i learned.
right now i'm building sceneindex, a map of music places picked by the people inside each scene, for every city. and i'm open to the next thing: creative production, project management, media and community. in a team or for one project, remote or wherever it happens.
